Painting one – Cleddau Evening

Graham painted this in stages for us – as demonstrated, using mainly just 3 colours (cobalt blue, raw sienna, burnt sienna)

Graham demonstrated his sunset technique.
 
1.       Paint the under colours using lemon yellow, raw sienna and burnt sienna, with the lemon yellow closest to the sun.
2.       Allow to dry completely
3.       Wet the whole paper completely then place the blue sky and clouds using a mixture of cobalt blue and burnt sienna. 
Works best on Arches paper.
