What's a MAC code?
It's a code that lets you to switch from one broadband provider to another without losing connection.

How do I switch from another provider?
If you're out of contract with your provider you can ask for a MAC code. If you're still in contract you might be able to pay to end your contract. Just enter the code when you join online and your broadband connection will be switched up to 10 working days later with no loss of service. If your provider won't give you a MAC code you may need to cancel the service before joining us.

Why won't my MAC code work?
Check you've entered it correctly. You may have a code starting "LLU". We're sorry, we can't use these. You'll need to contact your provider to cancel before joining us.

When will my existing broadband service switch to Tiscali?
It could take up to 10 working days to transfer your service. Your broadband will be switched with no loss of service.

How will I actually change my connection set-up?
You'll receive an installation CD with your modem which will automatically set up your broadband connection. If you want to keep using your existing modem, you'll need to change your username in your modem and computer. Your username will look like this username@tiscali.co.uk . If you're not sure how to change it, please refer to the manufacturer's set-up guide.

Can I switch if I am in contract with my current provider?
Yes you can switch but your current provider may charge a fee and you must comply with their terms and conditions. Contact them to find out if you are in contract.
